Truck lift kit costs vary by vehicle and lift height. A leveling kit typically runs $300-$600 installed. A 4-6" suspension lift ranges from $1,500-$4,000+ depending on the kit brand and components. Premium setups with Fox or King shocks will be at the higher end. Call Mudrock 4x4 at (615) 900-1625 for a quote specific to your truck.
The most commonly lifted trucks in Tennessee are Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500s and 2500HDs, Ford F-150s and F-250/350 Super Dutys, and RAM 1500s and 2500/3500s. Toyota Tundras and Tacomas are also increasingly popular for both street and off-road builds.
If you go more than 2 sizes up from stock, re-gearing is strongly recommended. Running 35s or larger on stock gears causes loss of power, poor fuel economy, and hard shifts. Common re-gear ratios are 4.56 or 4.88 for trucks running 35-37" tires. This is critical for diesel trucks that tow.
Windrock Park near Oliver Springs has 300+ miles of trails including truck-friendly routes. Royal Blue WMA in the Cumberlands offers great moderate trails. Woolys Off-Road Park near Atoka has mud bogs and open trails perfect for trucks. Land Between the Lakes on the western border is excellent for scenic overlanding.
A leveling kit raises only the front of your truck 1-3" to match the factory rear rake, allowing slightly larger tires. A lift kit raises the entire vehicle using new springs, shocks, and control arms, providing 4-12"+ of lift for significantly larger tires and greater ground clearance. Leveling is cosmetic; lifting is performance.
